Daddy’s favorite past time, balancing rocks…

The river is super high! We have a picture of Cierra on this rock, this was well before my time!IMG_3252

Picture from 2007 – You could walk out on the rocks quite a bit before hitting water.

IMG_1340I’m all ready for camping!

A pretty view from our camp site.

Mommy and me – What do you think of my cool camo outfit? I LOVE it, it kept me nice and toasty every night and morning. Thanks Uncle Seth & Aunt Stacey…I always look like the coolest kid because of you!

IMG_1395We all went for a walk up to the bridge by the campground, I loved the rushing water below…Blu didn’t!IMG_1401 IMG_1416

So much action I had to take a nap.IMG_1420

Bye Steve, it was great to see you and we were so glad that you came!IMG_1424

Mommy forgot to pack my hat and now I need to keep the sun off my delicate head…let’s see what works best. I like this one, makes my skin look pretty!

Pretty stylin’ – brings out the blue in my eyes.

However, this one takes the cake! Mommy wanted something that would stay on my head…so she took my onesie that was packed and one of her hair clips and made me a hat. Thanks mommy.

Hmm, Auntie Teresa complains about the rain but then she sits in the shade to read…do you see anything wrong with this picture?

IMG_1481

I can’t wait to do this when I get older!

Daddy’s grand fire masterpiece.

IMG_1489

Up in flames it goes. It was kind of wild and big so daddy had to water it down a few times…the embers where going wild up in the trees!IMG_1497 IMG_1496

I do love my mommy!

What are you looking at?IMG_1504

Dinner for the grown ups…looks good, can’t wait to have it later!

Camping was tons of fun and I enjoyed seeing everyone! I can’t wait to do it again and hopefully next time the sun will come play more often!

In Loving Memory of Fauna

Fauna was our favorite cat! He loved to jump up next to you, plop down and snuggle. He was Blu’s companion and would always chase her around and play with her – always amusing to watch! Oliver always had a huge smile waiting for him and loved to pet his soft coat. He was a great cat and we will miss him dearly!

Thursday, June 3rd, I came home and Dave told me that Fauna was peeing blood. I took him to the vet that night and he she said he had a pretty bad bladder infection (he has had these before) so I was sent home with some drugs and instructions to call if anything changed. When I got home from the vets Dave was on his way out the door to leave for camping at Bedal. I decided to stay home so I could keep my eye on the cat for the night. When I woke there was blood and urine all over the house and I noticed he hadn’t eaten anything from the night before. I know he loved tuna so I opened up a can of my expensive stuff and gave him some…he walked away from it. When he got up to walk I noticed his whole back end was wet with blood and so was his bedding. He then went to the water dish and just sat there and looked at it. I knew something was really wrong so I decided to call the vet again and take him back in. When I got there the vet took his temp and it was pretty low (99, normally 103), not to mention he was cool to the touch. She thought that he would need a blood transfusion and a whole lot of work to get him all fixed up. Sadly we just couldn’t afford to spend anywhere from $700-$1200 on vet care. My only other option was to put him to sleep so he didn’t have to suffer anymore. My last moments with him where me kissing him on the head, telling him that we love him and that we will miss him so much. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do especially with out Dave there. Afterwards I called Dave to let him know what happened and we cried on the phone together.
