Today mommy and daddy took me to Golden Gardens in Ballard because it was the lowest tide of the summer. IMG_3243

We also got to see Native Americans heading off on their journey to Neah Bay.  http://paddletomakah.org/

Some history:

The event is in its 21st year. Each summer, as many as 100 canoes from U.S. tribes and Canadian First Nations participate in the Tribal Canoe Journey. The journey by cedar canoe honors a centuries-old custom of transport, harvest and trade by Coast Salish Tribes.

These are worm like things we found under the rocks…daddy would take the rock off and they would wiggle around like crazy. Daddy wasn’t sure what to do the first time.IMG_3252
