Low Tide!
Posted on Monday, July 12th, 2010 at 7:03 pmToday mommy and daddy took me to Golden Gardens in Ballard because it was the lowest tide of the summer.
It’s going to be awhile until this guys goes anywhere!
We also got to see Native Americans heading off on their journey to Neah Bay. http://paddletomakah.org/
Some history:
The event is in its 21st year. Each summer, as many as 100 canoes from U.S. tribes and Canadian First Nations participate in the Tribal Canoe Journey. The journey by cedar canoe honors a centuries-old custom of transport, harvest and trade by Coast Salish Tribes.

What a cool tradition!
These are worm like things we found under the rocks…daddy would take the rock off and they would wiggle around like crazy. Daddy wasn’t sure what to do the first time.
A hermit crab
Mommy and daddy wouldn’t let me eat this, but I sure wanted to!
Help, it’s got me!
Daddy, you are nasty!
Standing at the top of the water table. Mommy is going to bring me back on Monday when the water is out further, I can’t wait!
A very interesting trip! Be carefull of the little crab Oliver. And Dave, what is that hanging out of your mouth? Ick!
