Trinidad CA–Visiting Cierra Day 1
Posted on Sunday, February 15th, 2015 at 9:12 pmWe made it! We survived a 7 hour drive from Seattle to Eugene, went to bed at 11:30pm and woke up at 6:15am. We ate breakfast the next day and got back on the road by 8:30 for our arrival in CA at 2:30. Just a short 2 hours away the battery light on the car came on so mommy had to pull over and the car was dead! We called AAA and they sent a friendly young fellow named Eugene from Cave Junction to come rescue us. He ended up towing us back to Grants Pass from Kerby, OR and it was about 30 minutes in the country. The best part was the big tow truck was only 3 seats so Ruby sat in her carseat and I got to sit in mommy’s lap. I thought that was SO cool, I said “Mommy, this is cool, we never do this!†Mommy replied, “Yep, you are right and we will never do it again if we don’t have too!†We made it to Grants Pass and took the car into Honda and we are hoping it will get fixed tomorrow so we can return the rental and be on our merry way.
Here are some pictures from our fun day with Cierra and her grammy Linda.
Cierra is taking us to go find sea creatures…we didn’t find those but we did find a cave!
Ruby loved running on the beach!
Crazy waves at Lagoon Beach…not a play in the water beach! We did have a good picnic of PB & J, chips and juice, we LOVED it!
Cierra brought back a sand crab and we thought it was dead so I asked her to pull the legs off…it started twitching and Cierra freaked out! We laughed!
That’s it for the day, we ended up going to the grocery store to get some food and had a tasty dinner of spaghetti-o’s, yogurt & fruit. Look forward to our unknown adventures tomorrow!
We love and miss you daddy!
Looks like a good time. Cierra looks great. Don’t you love looking at and finding all those creatures. Caves are cool too. Sorry about the van breaking down.
I love you!! Grandma
