Low Tide Part 2

Posted in Uncategorized | 1 Comment »

Mommy took me back to the beach for the lowest tide of the summer and this time Katri, James, Jessica and Karli came with us. We had so much fun!

IMG_3266

This is my new crabby hat.IMG_3336

Katri was helping James walk over the slimy mess, he didn’t like it very much.IMG_3343

If I didn’t know any better I would think that was a sea monster, yikes! Mommy tells me it is called a Sun Star.

IMG_3344

A purple Starfish

IMG_3351

Me and my mommy…

IMG_3358

Eeek, it’s a crab, a much bigger one!

IMG_3370

Karli dug out a Sea Snail and Jessica found it very interesting! I thought it was rather slimy!

IMG_3389

James has a baby Sun Star in his hand, that was the only thing he was brave enough to touch.

Thanks for coming along everyone, I always love to see you!

Low Tide!

Today mommy and daddy took me to Golden Gardens in Ballard because it was the lowest tide of the summer. IMG_3243

It’s going to be awhile until this guys goes anywhere!IMG_3287

IMG_3244

We also got to see Native Americans heading off on their journey to Neah Bay.  http://paddletomakah.org/

Some history:

The event is in its 21st year. Each summer, as many as 100 canoes from U.S. tribes and Canadian First Nations participate in the Tribal Canoe Journey. The journey by cedar canoe honors a centuries-old custom of transport, harvest and trade by Coast Salish Tribes.

This weekend my daddy & mommy took me to Vancouver…the other Vancouver, up in Canada. It was so cool. My auntie Tanya told mommy about Granville Island so they took me there and I think my mommy is in love. I really loved it too because they have a community water park that is FREE! Mommy says we will be going back often.

IMG_3225

The United States of America! That was a pretty cool trick huh, in Canada one minute and the US in the other. I’m just a traveling baby!IMG_3239

Mommy, it’s time to go, daddy is almost through the border…we don’t want him to leave without us!

Thanks for hanging out with us Daryl, we all hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Vancouver and have a great trip back to Ontario. I hope one day I get to come visit you in Ontario one day.
