Olivers Updates

It is my birthday party weekend and my Uncle Seth, Auntie Stacey, Baby Taylor, Auntie Sarah & Hunter all came up to visit. Thankfully the power came back on right as we got home…it had been off for 8 hours. Rob and Teresa also had no power so we invited them over for dinner too, it was a party!

Today I went on my very first field trip with school to Bob’s Corn Maze. I had such a great time…

Last friday I said good bye to some of my favorite people that I love dearly…Ms. Julia & Grandma. I have been going to Ms. Julia since I was a bit over 1 years old. She has taught me so many things and helped raise me to be the sweet, loving kid I am today.

Ms. Julia, I will miss you so much but will certainly come back to visit! My sister and I both love you!

Today Ruby and I stared at our new school. Ruby was less than thrilled (she was tired!) but I was super excited…I was asking to go all weekend! I’m even more excited because my best buddy Jack will be there with me. We are going to learn so much together and I can’t wait!

Ruby had a hard time with mommy leaving at first, so mommy came back to sit with her for awhile. When Ruby was looking mommy left and when she came back to check 5 minutes later, Ruby was just fine… Me, I didn’t care that mommy and daddy had to go. I was so excited going through all the new toys and having Jack there to play! It is going to be a good day today!

So many fantastic gifts…and the most special of all…Ruby’s great, great, great grandmother’s Ruby ring. Can’t wait until she is old enough to wear it for very special occasions.

Today my baby sister turns 1…what a year it has been!

She loves:

Me (of course!), watching Blu, eating everything (even dirt occasionally), snuggles with mommy, backpack rides with daddy, feeding Blu at dinner time

Her accomplishments:

Sitting at 6 months, crawling by 9 months, walking at 11 months. She drinks from a sippy cup, she feeds herself (with her hands)

She is one smiley little girl and I just can’t image life without her. I look forward to the next year Ruby when I can teach you a whole lot of new things. I love you so much! – Oliver

In other news…

I went to see Dr. Mosca today and I get to wear my “special shoes” for at least another 8 months. I’m waiting for my bones to grow in my foot so that I can have a tendon transfer surgery that will make it so I don’t want on the side of my foot. My bones are growing really slow! The good news, besides walking on the side of my foot, my foot looks REALLY good! …now lets get these bones growing so I can get this over with…more milk please!
